Today the Amerks family is in mourning. Scott Metcalfe, a member of the 1996 Calder Cup championship team and a 2006 inductee into the Amerks Hall of Fame, died suddenly on Friday morning surrounded by family at Strong Memorial Hospital. He was 58.
