Maley, Constantino, Crittenden and Carpenter earn Monroe County Softball Player of the Year honors

Ella Maley (Penfield) claimed Monroe County Division I Player of the Year after leading Penfield to the Class AA1 sectional title. Olivia Constantino (Webster Thomas) earned the award for Division II. Jalissa Crittenden (Eastridge) garnered the top honor after leading Eastridge to the Class AA2 finals after an undefeated regular season. Hannah Carpenter (Brockport) claimed the honor in Division IV. Coaches in each of the Monroe County divisions have announced their Players of the Year honors for this season, as well as All-League teams. 

Maley (Penfield) ended her senior campaign slashing .435/.484/1.143 at the plate with 37 hits across the season. The center fielder collected 17 RBI, 36 runs, 14 extra-base hits, 10 doubles, three triples and one home run. Maley also walked nine times and stole six bases. The senior locked down the outfield with a perfect fielding percentage. 

One of Maley’s best outings came on May 1 against Brighton, ending the day 3-for-6 including three hits, two stolen bases, three RBI and three runs scored. 

Joining Maley on the Division I First Team are fellow Patriots Zara Vattimo and Mackenzie Whitehead. Delaney Buttles and Lizzie Rinella both were named to the First Team for Rush Henrietta. Alaina Nunez and Quinnleigh Yeakel represented Fairport on the Division I First Team while Maddie Murphy and Juliana Saporito represented Hilton. Greece Storm’s Juliana Bates rounded out the Division I First Team.

Constantino (Webster Thomas) closed out her senior season batting a career-high .459 at the plate with 31 hits. The senior shortstop collected 30 RBI, beating out her previous best of 19 RBI. Constantino also ended with 23 runs, 10 extra-base hits, nine doubles, one home run, eight walks and four stolen bases. 

Constantino ends her varisty career with a .367 batting average and 104 hits in just under 100 games played. The senior recorded 30 total extra-base hits (28 doubles and two home runs), 78 RBI, 80 runs, 28 walks and 19 stolen bases. The St. John Fisher commit also ended with a 95 percent career fielding percentage. 

Joining Constantino on the Division II First-Team are teammates Seraphine Lippa and Alexandra Lippa. Kinsley Keil, Kyara Murphy and Emma Juliano all earned the honors for Webster Schroeder. Ella Newell and Bella Marlatt both garnered the award for Spencerport. Lucy Rozzi earned a Division II First-Team selection for Brighton while Delaney Pettee earned a selection for Victor to round out the list. 

Crittenden (Eastridge) pitched 119 innings and posted a 20-1 record in the circle for the Lancers, striking out 143 batters including her 400th career strikeout with a 0.82 ERA. The senior also batted .483 across the season, adding 14 doubles and 24 RBI. 

The Elmira College commit’s best pitching appearance came on April 8 against Canandaigua as the senior right-hander along with teammate Harper Kuehne combined for a perfect game in an 11-0 victory. Crittenden tossed 10 strikeouts across five shutout innings to earn the win in the circle. 

Joining Crittenden on the Division III First-Team are teammates Josslyn Siembor, Emma Johnson, Tierra-Nicole Green and Marley Siembor. Bailey DiGiacomo and Malena Leastman both earned the honors for Churchville-Chili. Olivia Cooley garnered the award for Irondequoit. Canandaigua’s Sarah Goodsell and Gates-Chili’s Annaliesse McGill rounded out the Division III First Team selections. 

Carpenter (Brockport) finished the 2026 season with 10 wins and 84 strikeouts in the circle for the Blue Devils. The four time First-Team All-County selection also finished with a .625 average at the plate with 40 hits. The senior collected 24 RBI, 31 runs, 19 extra-base hits, eight doubles, six triples, five home runs and 10 stolen bases. 

The senior pitcher spent six years on varsity across her career, starting over 100 games in the circle for Brockport. Carpenter collected over 500 innings pitched and over 400 strikeouts for the Blue Devils. Carpenter also recorded a .528 average across her six years, ending with over 150 hits, and over 100 RBI and runs scored.

Amanda Meyers, Cara Orlando, Gabby Lyons and Julia Devaney all ended with a First-Team selection for Pittsford Sutherland. Alexandra Van Ginhoven and Quinn Sargent both garnered the honor for Pittsford Mendon. Elizabeth Grazioplene and Arianna Almekinder each earned a selection for Batavia. Honeoye Falls-Lima’s Brooke Gruschow rounded out the Division IV First-Team.
