A little over a month removed from scoring 27 points in an all-time NCAA Tournament shocker over Kentucky, Daryl Banks III is transferring to St. Bonaventure.

Banks III made five 3-pointers in the Saint Peter’s Peacocks’ overtime victory over John Calipari’s Wildcats, just the 10th time a No. 15 seed defeated a No. 2 seed in tournament history. Banks III averaged 13.5 points and 31 minutes per game in the “Big Dance,” helping Saint Peter’s become the first 15-seed to ever advance to the Elite Eight.

The 6-foot-3 guard, who was born in Los Angeles but attended The Patrick School in Hillside, N.J., averaged 11.3 points on 38.3 percent shooting overall during the 2021-22 season. A freshman during the 2019-20 season, he is eligible to play two more collegiate campaigns.
