Bona and Notre Dame met three times in the 1990s but have not played since the Irish prevailed 57-54 on Dec. 22, 1994. ND, led by 21st-year head coach Mike Brey, finished second in the Atlantic Coast Conference regular season standings and features talented freshman guard Blake Wesley.
