St. Bonaventure moved up a spot to No. 22 in the new Associated Press men’s basketball poll on Monday.
The Bonnies, who defeated Siena by 28 points last Tuesday night before surviving a single-digit challenge from Canisius on Sunday evening, are ranked in consecutive weeks for the first time since Jan. 11-18, 1971. They stood just six vote points behind No. 21 Auburn, 286 to 280.
Florida and Southern California entered the rankings, replacing Florida State and Virginia. Bona was the only Atlantic 10 team to receive votes.
