Putnam Science Academy forward Barry Evans will be making an official visit to St. Bonaventure this weekend, according to the Putnam Science Men’s Basketball Twitter account.

Bona offered Evans, a 6-foot-8 wing, on Sept. 9. His other offers include Albany, Florida International, Quinnipiac, Towson and UMass. The Baltimore native played high school basketball for Oakland Mills and Baltimore Poly, making the 2020 Baltimore Sun All-County First Team as a junior.

Evans turned 19 this month. PrepHoops.com said the lefty “makes it difficult for defenders to adjust to his tendencies” and identified his ability to play and guard multiple positions as the biggest attraction for college coaches.

SBU could have at least five open scholarships for the 2022-23 season.
