St. Bonaventure junior Alpha Okoli has entered the transfer portal, Verbal Commits reported on Tuesday.
Okoli totaled 36 points and 40 rebounds in 48 career appearances as a Bonnie. He saw time in just 21 contests the last two seasons after playing in 27 as a freshman.
Okoli was lauded by the Bonnies for his strengths as a teammate as well as his performance in practice. “Living with him has been an honor and a blessing,” Jaren Holmes said after a win over George Washington in February. “He’s just a great kid… he’s probably the best guy, best attitude, best friend on this team.”
A native of Los Angeles, Okoli averaged nearly 20 points a game as a senior at St. John Bosco High School. The Bonnies now have four open scholarships for the 2021-22 season.
