Jalen Adaway is the Atlantic 10 Co-Player of the Week, sharing the honor with Saint Louis guard Jordan Goodwin, the league announced Monday.
Adaway, who is producing 12 points a game in his first season for the Bonnies, scored 20 points in Bona’s win over La Salle before tallying 23 in a loss at VCU. The Logansport, Ind. native led the team in scoring in both games, making 16 of his 22 field goal attempts. He also grabbed eight rebounds in each outing.
The junior, SBU’s third-leading scorer, is the second Bonnie to be awarded Player of the Week this season, joining Jaren Holmes. Adaway has scored in double figures in four of the last five games and currently leads the team in win shares, an estimate of the number of wins contributed by a player due to his offense and defense.
