For the eighth time in his career, Rochester native Jeff Anderson will officiate the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Final Four as announced earlier this week.
Anderson, who has worked men’s finals in 2018 (Villanova and Michigan), 2022 (North Carolina-Kansas) and 2024 (UConn-Purdue), is one of 11 referees announced by the NCAA to work the games held this Saturday, April 4th and Monday, April 6th.
Anderson has also worked the 2023 national semifinal between UConn and Miami (per PhillyRef.com) as well as the 2017 Gonzaga-South Carolina semifinal and 2019 Michigan State – Texas Tech semifinal.
Anderson, a 1985 Franklin grad, called the First Round game between Michigan State and North Dakota State earlier this tournament along with the Saint Louis-Michigan matchup in the Round of 32 and Tennessee-Michigan in the Elite Eight.

Anderson will join fellow officials James Breeding, Lee Cassell, Ron Groover, Keith Kimble, Kipp Kissinger, Greg Nixon, Marques Pettigrew, Doug Shows, Doug Sirmons and Paul Szelc.

The 2026 Men’s Final Four will be played at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana on Saturday. South Region champion Illinois (No. 3 seed) will face East Region champ UConn (No. 2 seed). A 6:09 PM tipoff is scheduled for that matchup. Midwest Regional champion Michigan (No. 1 seed) will take on West Region champ Arizona (No. 1 seed) at 8:49 PM. Both games will be televised on TBS. The national final is scheduled for an 8:50 PM tipoff on Monday.
In the past, Anderson has contributed his time to Project Step Up at the Boys’ and Girls’ Clubs of Rochester.
