Eleven years after they last met, the St. Bonaventure Bonnies and Virginia Tech Hokies will headline a quadrupleheader on Dec. 17 at Charlotte’s Spectrum Center, a source confirmed Sunday.
Other matchups that day include Richmond v.s. NC State, Wake Forest playing Charlotte and East Carolina facing Liberty. The Bonnies and Hokies, who appeared in the 2021 NCAA Tournament as No. 9 and No. 10 seeds, respectively, each expect to contend for their respective conference championships in 2022.
Virginia Tech, an Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) member, has won the last two matchups with Bona, including an overtime victory at Rochester’s Blue Cross Arena in 2010. The Hokies, who compiled a 15-7 record last season, lead the all-time series 10-6.
