The St. Bonaventure men’s basketball program didn’t take long to find a new non-conference tournament.

The Bonnies will participate in a Multi-Team Event (MTE) at Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Ct. during the non-conference portion of their upcoming season, as first reported by Jon Rothstein.

Mohegan Sun will replace the Paradise Jam, a tournament St. Bonaventure was originally slated to participate in at the Virgin Islands before the COVID-19 pandemic but withdrew from, along with the seven other participants, in favor of another MTE option.

Dates and opponents are yet to be finalized, but a source said the program expects a “quality field.”

Mohegan Sun Arena is scheduled to host multiple college basketball events this season, including the Hall of Fame Tip-Off Tournament highlighted by Rhode Island, UCF, Minnesota and Marquette on Nov. 21 and 22.
