Tyrone House and Kentonio Kelly combined for eight points in overtime as Franklin rallied from a 49-26 halftime deficit to snap a two-game skid. The Quakers outscored the Monroe Red Jackets, 65-36, in the second half, including 13-7 in overtime. After being held scoreless in the opening period, the senior trio of House, Kelly and Tahjir King combined for 68 points. Kelly led with a game-high 24, including 15 after intermission. The senior forward corralled 14 boards as well. King netted 10 points in the third quarter as the Quakers outscored the Red Jackets, 32-21. For the game, the senior forward had 23 along with eight rebounds and seven assists. House poured 19 of his 21 in the second half, including 11 in the fourth quarter. The senior forward grabbed 11 boards. Jaylin Jordan added 10 points. For Monroe, Jabez Thompson led five players in double figures with 23 points. Jahmir Bloom scored 18 and Axel Mejias 16. Amariyon Johnson pitched in eight of his 10 points in the second half. Other scorers – Franklin: Dayvion Scott (9), Teriq Johnson (2), Gary Simms (2), Monroe: Ezekiel Williams (4)

Romel Brown scored all 20 of his points after the opening period as World of Inquiry snapped a three-game losing streak. The junior guard knocked down four long-range shots and 4-of-5 free throws. Jahlil Bell netted 5-of-6 from the charity stripe as part of his 14 points. For Vertus, Quanmay Early scored 20 points in three quarters. Shaheem Ellis, Jr. netted 22 of his game-high 25 points in the first three quarters to lead Edison Tech. The junior guard made four three-pointers and 5-of-6 free throws. Ellis dished out 10 assists, collected six boards and swiped three steals as well. Mike Morgan scored all 20 of his points in the first, third and fourth periods combined. The sophomore guard grabbed six rebounds. Torrean Lewis notched a double-double of 10 points and 12 boards. For Bishop Kearney, Miles Monchecourt netted eight of his team-high 18 points in the final period. Miles Rose had nine of his 14 points in the second quarter as the Kings outscored the Inventors, 20-10. Antwan Williams pitched in all 13 of his points after the first quarter. Markus Robinson took off for 51 points and and 17 rebounds to lead Charles G. Finney to its third straight victory. The freshman guard has poured in 50 points in seven games this season. For Rochester Academy, Albert Tomlin reached a career milestone of 1,000 points. For the game, the junior forward netted 25 points. Tomlin now has 1,017 career varsity points. Matthew Falter scored 14 of his game-high 20 points in the first half as Brighton won its second straight. The senior guard connected on 11-of-13 free throws. Thomas Passawe scored 12 points in three quarters. Sam Tourangeau added all 10 of his points after the opening period in which Brighton led, 16-10. For Greece Arcadia, Anthony Stephenson scored nine of his team-high 19 points in the third quarter. Gabriel Taylor had 11 points. DeAndre Newsome added eight of his 11 points in the first half as Greece Athena took a 39-31 lead into the locker room. For Brockport, Esten Schalge and Oscar Vandetta scored 12 points apiece. Samuel Velletri netted 11. The senior guard made 13 of his 14 shots from inside the arc and 6-of-7 free throws. Andrew Mason exploded for 22 points in the fourth quarter as Webster Thomas rallied from a 16-point deficit with 5:30 left in the game. The senior guard made 8-of-8 free throws and four of his 10 three-pointers in the quarter. For the game, Mason poured in 42 points. Evan Mitchell added 12 points and Dannie Palmer 11. For Chuchville-Chili, Kamerin Poromon made seven of his 10 shots from inside the arc as part of his 23 points. John Keele scored 17 points and Marcus Postell 13. Alex Hale scored six of Batavia’s 11 points in the second overtime to lead the Blue Devils to their fourth win in five games. For the game, Hale had nine points. Zach Gilebarto was the leading scorer with 13 points and went 6-of-6 from the charity stripe. Stone Silvering, Caeden White and Camden White scored 12 points apiece. Silvering corralled nine rebounds and Camden White eight. For Honeoye Falls-Lima, Patrick Lustyk scored 14 of his game-high 21 points in the second half as the Cougars held a 28-21 lead. Troy Galbraith tallied a double-double of 10 points and 11 rebounds. For Marcus Whitman, Liam Prendergast made eight field goals as part of his game-high 17 points. Noah Hildreth netted three long-range shots en route to 11 points. Maxwell Jusianiec poured in a game-high 30 points, including the go-ahead three-pointer with seven seconds left, to lead Wellsville. The junior forward reached a career milestone of 1,000 points as well. After Friday’s game, Jusianiec has 1,010 varsity points.

With under seven seconds left to play, and the game on the line with a 45-43 deficit on the board, Jusianiec put the dagger down from Main Street Alfred to give Wellsville the lead, and ultimately the 46-45 victory over Hornell.

Jansel Martinez and Luis Saez scored 20 points apiece for Mount Morris. Martinez dished out seven assists while Saez swiped seven steals. Martinez’s 20 points were a career-high. Stephen Somers added 14 points. Joe Pagano had two points and eight boards. Alexis Crespo (6) and Rowan Gross (4) rounded out the scoring for Mount Morris. Noah Reilly and Adam Wright combined for 52 of Geneseo’s 70 points.

“We played one of our best games of the year. Our defense continues to get better at the end of games. However, Wright and Reilly combined for 52 points – almost all of them in the paint. The size advantage was a little too much. They (Geneseo) were really patient on offense and pounded the ball inside. Luis Saez did a great job for us answering on the other end. He was attacking the basket and making things happen with a career-high 20 points and seven steals.”

York held Letchworth to nine points in the second quarter and pulled away for a third straight victory. Riley Stella led with 19 points. Timmy LaGeorge scored 17 while James Kennedy had 14. David Cuozzo and Josh Davis added 12 and 11, respectively. For Letchworth, William Shearing netted a game-high 25 points. Jimmy Cole and Brett Vasile scored 14 apiece.

“It was a tough game. Letchworth is hard to guard and has a ton of physicality and skill. We were able to get some stops late in the game and fortunate to knock down some shots. It was a good way to kick off six games in eight days. We will be back at it early in the morning getting ready for another big game tomorrow in Pavilion for the Kurt Kingsley Classic.”

Joe Laursen notched a double-double of 13 points and 12 rebounds. For Avon, Nick Rowland led with 18 points. Tyler Dailey had nine. Zach Colvin and Jaden Courtemanche added six points apiece.
