For the fourth time this season, St. Bonaventure senior point guard Jaylen Adams has been named the Atlantic 10 Conference basketball Player of the Week.

Adams was nothing short of spectacular last week, averaging 34.0 points and 6.5 assists per game in two wins. He made 62 percent of his shots overall including 13 of 22 (59 percent) of his three-point shots.

In the Bonnies’ win over Saint Louis Feb. 7, Adams scored a career high 44 points, which is tied for the most points scored in a game by an A-10 player this year. He set a school record with 10 three-pointers in just 13 attempts. Adam also had six assists, giving him a hand in 74 percent of the team’s 79 points.

Feb. 10 against Richmond, Adams scored 24 points – 16 in the second half – as the Bonnies defeated the Spiders 97-88 for their sixth straight win. He added seven assists in that contest.

Adams’ recent play has helped the Bonnies move into a tie for second place in the A-10 with Davidson at 8-4.  For the season, the Baltimore, Md., native is averaging 20.2 points, 3.9 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game. Adams ranks third among Division I players in three-point field goal percentage at .500 (57-114).

St. Bonaventure (18-6) plays at La Salle Tuesday at 7 p.m.
