Former NE Douglass star, Lamar Lovelace signs with Killorglin in Irish Super League

KEUKA PARK, N.Y. – Former Northeast Douglass College Prep and Keuka College guard Lamar Lovelace has signed a professional contract with Flexachem KCYMS Killorglin Basketball Club of the Ireland Super League.

“We are incredibly proud of Lamar for earning this opportunity to play professionally overseas,” said Keuka head coach Tom Wilk. “Lamar’s work ethic, commitment, and leadership have a made a lasting impact on our program and this next opportunity is a testament to his hard work.  We can’t wait to watch him succeed at the professional level and represent Keuka Basketball!”

Lovelace’s 2025-26 season was one to remember for the Wolves. In his lone season with the Green and Gold, Lovelace scored 636 points, setting new Keuka College and Empire 8 single-season records. The Rochester, N.Y. native also set program records for field goals and free throws made in a season while finishing fourth all-time in three-pointers made.

Following his standout season, Lovelace earned numerous postseason honors. He was named the Empire 8 Tournament Most Valuable Player, First Team All-Conference, and selected to the Empire 8 All-Tournament Team. Lovelace also earned First Team All-Region honors from D3hoops.com and the U.S. Basketball Writers Association, along with Second Team All-Region recognition from the National Association of Basketball Coaches.

The Men’s Super League is the highest level of men’s basketball in Ireland. The FIBA-recognized league features 13 teams, with 12 located in the Republic of Ireland and one in Northern Ireland. Flexachem KCYMS Killorglin Basketball Club was founded in 1999 and joined the Super League ahead of the 2021-22 season.

Last season, Killorglin finished with a 7-15 record and placed 11th in the league standings. Despite missing the league playoffs, the club advanced to the quarterfinals of the Cup Playoffs.

Lovelace averaged 22.1 points per game during his senior season at NE Douglass.
