Kyle Markham paced East High to a double-digit win season and a top-four seed in Class A. Rochester City Athletic Conference (RCAC) coaches named the senior catcher the league Player of the Year.
Markham hit .471 on the season with a .645 on-base percentage. The Mount St. Mary’s commit finished with 24 hits including seven for extra bases in 20 games. He two doubles, two triples and three home runs while drawing 16 walks against five strike outs.
Markham drove in 20 runs and scored another 31. He stole 13 bases and reached via hit by pitch on nine occasions.
A six-year starter, Markham was also named to the Section V Class A Team.
Teammates Eric Jones and Mitchell Nieves joined Markham on the RCAC First Team along with Henry Hawkinson and Bennie Laver from School of the Arts. as well as Miguel Vargas and Felix Vazquez from Edison Tech.
Kaisel Cuevas (Wilson) and Jonael Maldonado (Padilla) rounded out the 2026 RCAC First Team.
