As the NBA season progresses, Rochester native Jalen Pickett has seen more action for the Denver Nuggets in the past week.
In Denver’s 111-108 win over the Los Angeles Clippers last Tuesday, the 6’2″ guard scored five points and two rebounds, two assists and a steal in 17 games.
On Sunday in the Nuggets’ 121-109 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers, Pickett finished with eight points, two rebounds, three assists and a steal in 19 minutes. Then on Monday in Denver’s 107-103 win over the Detroit Pistons, the ex-Aquinas Institute standout had two points, two rebounds and an assist.
Pickett and the Nuggets (10-4) take on the Orlando Magic this Wednesday at 7 p.m.

Stewart recorded two double-doubles in the past week for the Pistons, giving him five in 15 games so far on the season.
In Detroit’s loss to Denver on Monday, the Rochester native finished with 11 points, 11 boards and two blocks. Then on Friday in the Pistons’ 108-100 loss to the Cavs, the 6’8″ center had 11 points, 10 rebounds, two blocks and a steal.
The former McQuaid Jesuit star is averaging 11.9 points, 7.5 rebounds and around a block per game so far this season.
Stewart and the Pistons (2-13) go up against the Indiana Pacers this Friday at 8 p.m.
