Luis Garcia and Adrián Sanchez collected four hits apiece as Rochester defeated Worcester, 13-5 in International League action Thursday night.

The win was the second straight over the Red Sox for the denizens of Morrie Silver Way.

Garcia and Sanchez connected on back-to-back solo shots to spark a four-run third to give the home nine a lead they did not surrender. Yadiel Hernandez added an RBI single in the stanza and Jake Noll later plated Daniel Palka base hit.

Rochester led 4-2 and put crooked numbers on the Frontier Field scoreboard in three more separate frames.

Josh Rogers allowed four runs on seven hits over 5.1 innings to pick up the win. The left-hander improved to 3-4 on the season. Rogers struck out five and walked three.

Alberto Baldonado and Ronald Peña worked a scoreless frame of relief apiece.

Noll added a two-run home run in the fifth. Garcia drilled his second round tripper of the night in the seventh, also a two-run job.

Former Wing Stephen Gonsalves took the loss. The fourth round pick of the Minnesota Twins in the 2013 draft allowed seven runs (six earned) on 10 hits over 4.1 innings. The left-hander surrendered three home runs.

Gonsalves made 24 appearances over three seasons (2017-19) with the Wings. The San Diego native was 9-3 in 2018 with a 2.96 ERA. He struck out 95 in 100-plus innings of work and held opposing batters to .187 average.

An elbow injury limited Gonsalves to eight appearances in 2019. He was claimed off waivers by the New York Mets in November of 2019 and eventually signed with Boston in July of 2020.

Rochester played the game as the Plates their Thursday home game tradition.

Rochester (17-28) and Worcester (29-16) continue their six-game series on Friday.
