Saturday night, the Rochester Institute of Technology men’s hockey team used a three-goal rally to set up a shootout win. On Sunday, the Tigers trailed for just eight seconds in registering their second win of the season.
Logan Drackett made a season-high 34 saves and Elijah Gonsalves collected three assists to highlight a 5-1 RIT win over Niagara University in Atlantic Hockey action from Dwyer Arena in Lewiston, New York.
Jake Hamacher converted on the power play for the go-ahead goal with 2:03 remaining in the second period. Gonsalves and Jake Joffee assisted on the play.

Kobe Walker added to the lead :35 seconds later with help from Nick Bruce and Will Calverley.
And the Tigers put the game out of reach in third period.

Calverley and Andrew Petrucci added insurance tallies in the final period to secure the win.

Niagara got on to the board 5:17 into the game when Jason Pineo started the scoring. Spencer Berry responded eight seconds later for the Tigers.
Niagara (0-1-1) outshot RIT (2-1-1), 35-28.
On Saturday at the Polisseni Center, Petrucci capped a dramatic with a third-period to set up a shootout.
Trailing 3-0 after one period of play, Dan Willet sparked the RIT offense with a unassisted tally less than three minutes into the second stanza.

Joffee cut the deficit to one with helpers from Alden Dupuis and Spencer Berry. Joffee and Bryson Traptow assisted on Petrucci’s score.
Hamacher clinched the shootout win.
