Chase Rizzo posted a double-double to lead Red Jacket into the semi-finals. The senior forward scored 15 points and grabbed 13 rebounds as the Indians won their seventh straight game. Teammate Matt Record added 21 points, six rebounds and two steals. Adam Borst finished with 20 points, six assists and three steals. Red Jacket’s defense held Section V’s leading scorer, Markus Robinson, to 21 points. Robinson came into the game averaging 45.5 points per game. Cairo Vargas added seven points for the Falcons. Red Jacket will play Byron-Bergen in the semi-finals.

Noah Hildreth led three in double figures for Marcus Whitman which outscored Sodus 16-2 in the first quarter and took a 30-11 lead into halftime. Hildreth connected three times behind the 3-point arc in the win. Teammate Liam Prendergast collected 14 points and seven rebounds. Seth Benedict contributed 10 points. Aidan Royston had five steals and two points. Ryan Herod (3), Zack Lovejoy (3), Carson Miller (2), Jordan Lahue (3) and Connor Tomion (9) rounded out the scoring for Marcus Whitman. The Wildcats will play Gananda in the C1 semi-finals. John Molisani paced Sodus with five points. Tatdem Frisbie, Marcelus Burton and Shane Smith scored four apiece for the Spartans. Joey Laursen added 13 points and four blocks. Kyle Wade had 12 points and six rebounds. Adam O’Donoghue contributed six points and six rebounds. Jahmere Cooper led Wheatland-Chili with 16 points. Brendan Moore and Brian Napier had 13 points apiece. Cal-Mum will play Lyndonville in the semi-finals. “Always excited to move on in sectionals,” Cal-Mum head coach Dan Dickens said. “Thought we showed our best intensity in the third quarter. Have a tough Lyndonville team Monday hopefully we are a little sharper on defense.”

Aiden Keulling added 10. “I was really happy with the way we came out focused and did a great job defensively,” York head coach Ed Orman, Jr. said. “That defensive effort led to our offense and really got us flying around. We will enjoy it tonight and then get back to business.”

Brady Brandow and Devin Stowe scored 21 points apiece to lead the Tigers. Brandon concede five times behind the 3-point arc. Jonathan Jensen added 15 points. Tristian Stark had 14, and DeJay Hammond had 10. Michael Hoad (6) and Jordan Slayton (4) also scored for Avoca. The Tigers have won 20 straight games. Jansel Martinez led Mount Morris with 31 points and finished his career with 1,095 points. Kody Mosher scored six. Rowan Gross and Kolby Burley scored four apiece. Justice Green, Marco LaSalle, John Yost and Ben Bacon each scored three points. Avoca will play Honeoye in the D1 semi-finals.
