Jahlil Bell scored five of World of Inquiry’s 10 overtime points as the Griffins snapped a two-game skid. For the contest, Bell had 11 points. Romel Brown and Joshua Shaw led with 17 points apiece. Brown scored 14 in the second half and Shaw netted all of his points in three quarters. Mike Maxwell added 11 of his 15 points in the fourth quarter and overtime combined. For Franklin, Kentonio Kelly scored four of the Quakers’ eight overtime points. The senior forward had a team-high 15 points. Tyrone House scored 14 points and Dayvion Scott 13. Tahjir King pitched in 10 of his 12 points in the first half as the Quakers took a 34-19 lead into the locker room. Early College went on a 7-0 run in the final 33 seconds of the game and held off Rochester Academy to snap a five-game skid. Trailing 61-60 with under a minute left, Sam Jackson made the go-ahead layup off an entry pass on the left block. On the ensuing possession, the senior guard forced a turnover and followed Kemar McCloud’s miss with a putback. The Cobras forced two more turnovers along with a missed shot and put the game away with three free throws.

Jaequon Nesmith led four players in double figures with 16 points. Jovan Sargent netted a pair of three-pointers and 5-of-5 foul shots as part of his 15 points. Marquis Crawford and Jackson scored 14 points apiece. McCloud (4) rounded out the scoring for the Cobras. For Rochester Academy, Albert Tomlin poured 14 of his game-high 26 points in the final period. The junior guard made 10 shots and 6-of-6 from the charity stripe. Shia Patton pitched in 10 points. Daniel Garcia (6), Deonte Major (3), Qumauri Thompson (3) and Travon Major (1) rounded out the scoring for the Racers.

Ethain Clarke-DeSouza scored 17 of his 23 points in the second half as School of the Arts notched its seventh win in the last eight games. The junior guard made 7-of-10 free throws along with six boards, three steals, two assists and a block. Ke’Vion Mitchell knocked down three long-range shots as part of his 14 points. The junior guard added three assists and a rebound as well. Keshaun Chatman had four points, six boards, four steals and three assists. For Spencerport, Patrick Uebelacker scored 15 of the Rangers’ 18 first-quarter points. The junior guard finished the game with 24. Andre Marianetti added 11 points. Torrean Lewis scored 20 points, corralled 17 boards and swatted four shots to lead Edison Tech to its third straight win. The senior forward netted 16 of his points in the first and third quarters combined. Shaheem Ellis, Jr. had 17 points, eight rebounds and seven assists. The junior guard scored all of his points in the second and fourth periods combined. Mike Morgan pitched in 12 points and Brandon Latson 11. For NE Douglass, Lamar Lovelace continued his strong return from injury with a game-high 30 points. Trynzeir Parker scored 11 points in three quarters. Andrew Newcombe hauled in a career-high 20 boards to lead Northstar Christian to its ninth consecutive victory. The junior center scored 10 points, swiped seven steals and dished out six assists as well. Turner Harris netted 23 points while Sean Smith added 21.

The junior guard made seven of his 11 field goals from inside the arc and 7-of-9 free throws. Shadders dished out six assists as well. Jackson Green scored 19 of his 24 points after the opening period in which Pittsford Mendon led, 25-17. The freshman guard netted four long-range shots. Isaiah Cotton pitched in eight points and six assists. Caleb Arena added six points and 10 boards. For Brighton, Matthew Falter scored 14 of his 21 points in the second half. The senior guard connected on three long-range shots and 6-of-7 free throws. Aiden Lazenby added 11 of his 20 points in the third quarter as Brighton outscored Pittsford Mendon, 28-19. The junior forward hit four shots from beyond the arc as well. Tyler Ortiz scored 12 points and Nathan Martin 10. The junior guard dished out seven assists and corralled three boards. For Livonia, Alex Minnehan scored all 17 of his points after the opening period along with four assists. “We didn’t get out of the gates very well tonight and Batavia was able to build a 12-point lead at the half. I thought we battled and stayed with them in the second half despite the way they shot the ball..  They shot 7-of-10 from downtown in the second half and 13-of-20 overall. Tough to gain ground on a night of shooting like that. I give credit to Batavia and the way they played and I also like how our guys didn’t quit. I was proud of them for that.”
