ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Justin Graham (St. John Fisher College) led the Wings to the 2019 Interstate Collegiate Baseball League (ICBL) championship. Dylan Broderick (Pitt-Johnstown) topped the ICBL in extra-base hits. Donnie Moffat (St. Bonaventure) set the standard among pitchers, and Thomas Pasquale (St. John Fisher College) established a level of defensive efficiency. The four earned ICBL post-season awards as announced by the league this week.
Graham was named 2019 ICBL MVP. The senior hit .450 to lead the league. His 27 hits in 20 games played was the high-water mark for the league. The Webster Schroeder alum stole a league-best 17 bases. He finished tied for third with 13 walks while striking out just twice during the season. He was the only player to score 20 or more runs, crossing home plate 25 times on the season. His runs created of 22.466 was three better than any other player in the league. Graham also struck out 14 in 11.1 innings of work on the mound and did not allow a run. He was 1-o with one save. Graham was named Player of the Week on three occasions this season.
Broderick (Monarchs) knocked a league-high eight doubles to earn the Silver Slugger Award. He scored 13 runs and drove in another 11 in 23 games played. Broderick slugged at a rate of .560 and finished with an OPS of 1.075
Moffat (McQuaid Jesuit) struck out 66 batters in 39.1 innings of work, outdistancing the next closest hurler by 26 strike outs to earn Pitcher of the Year. The left-hander walked just five batters and allowed 15 runs runs (nine earned) for an ERA of 1.60. His WHIP (walks + hits per inning) of .84 led all starters, and he held opposing hitters to a batting average of .185. Moffat was named Pitcher of the Week twice this season.
Pasquale (Union-Endicott) logged a league-high 105 innings at third base and garnered the Gold Glove Award. He finished with seven put outs and 28 assists while committing just one error for a fielding percentage of .972. Pasquale threw also threw a scoreless inning of relief to help the Wings clinch a spot in the championship game.
