Complacency is not word that can be used to describe Greece Athena grad Anthony Lamb. Three days after earning his fifth America East Conference Rookie of the Week honor, Lamb matched a career-high 26 points and nearly equalled a career best with 13 rebounds leading the Vermont Catamounts to an 82-74 conference victory over the University of New Hampshire, Thursday night. Lamb and the Catamounts (22-5) are off to their best start in program history.
Lamb hit 9 of 16 from the floor and grabbed nine offensive rebounds in Thursday’s win. Read the full recap here.
He averaged 19.5 points and five rebounds in two wins last week to become the second Catamount to garner his fifth weekly rookie honor. Read the complete release here. Lamb averages 11 points and 5.4 rebounds for the season.

Fordham’s Antwoine Anderson (Bishop Kearney) hit his second buzzer-beater of the season and third of his career when the Rams recently knocked off Saint Joseph’s in overtime. Anderson scores 11. 5 per game for Fordham. Anderson breaks down his buzzer beaters here.

Phil Valenti (Aquinas) registered his seventh career double-double with 24 points and 10 rebounds as Canisius improved to 15-10 (8-6 MAAC) with an 80-73 victory at Siena last Friday. Read the game article here. Valenti needs 11 more rebounds to reach the 600 mark for his career. He is scoring more than 16 a game over the Golden Griffins last five contests.
Thomas Bryant (Bishop Kearney) leads the Indiana Hoosier grabbing 6.9 rebounds per game. The sophomore center scores 13.5 per contest. He recently registered back-to-back double-doubles with 23 points and 12 rebounds in a loss to Northwestern followed by 31 points and 11 rebounds in triple-overtime win against Penn State.
Quinton Rose (Bishop Kearney) is averaging 11 points over Temple’s last four games. The freshman guard has played 20 or more minutes in five of the Owls last eight contests.
Deyshonee Much (Gates-Chili) hit five of eight 3-pointers and finished with 20 points in Iona’s 77-66 win over Siena. Much followed that with 13 points in an overtime victory against Saint Peter’s.
Emmitt Holt (Webster-Schroeder) averages 12.5 points and 5.6 rebounds per game for Providence.
Dontay Caruthers (East High) plays more than 21 minutes per game for UB. The sophomore guard leads the Bulls with 1.9 steals per game while handing out 2.1 assists.
Jake Fenlon (McQuaid) followed a buzzer beater with a record night. Fenlon connected behind the arc to lead the University of Chicago past Case Western, 74-72 on January 27. Two nights later, the junior guard notched a career-high with 30 points and set a then-program mark with 10 3-pointers.
