Adirondack powers its way past the Jr. Chiefs

Boonville, NY — The Adirondack Trail Blazers nailed three home runs en route to an 8-5 victory over Eastern Division rivals, the Syracuse Jr. Chiefs at home Tuesday night. Cody Campbell(Rogers St.) led the way going 2-4  including two home runs, two runs scored and four RBI. Colton Campbell(Rogers St.) led the team with three hits including a triple, two runs scored and an RBI. Gooch Greer(Carson Newman) chipped in with two hits including a solo shot to help the Blazers cause.

Starting pitcher Sean Larson(Fredonia St.) picked up his first win of the season going 5 innings allowing two runs on seven hits, a walk and three strikeouts. Evon Previte(Wagner College) pitched a scoreless inning of relief and Geoff Soja(Niagara University) earned his first save of the season pitching a scoreless ninth.

The Trail Blazers(2-1) are home once again on Wednesday as they take on the Niagara Power of the Western Division. This will be the only time the Trail Blazers will face a Western Division opponent during the regular season.
