Dayton Faces New Foes in World Vision Classic

DAYTON WILL FACE BUFFALO, FAIRLEIGH-DICKINSON AND UCONN IN WORLD VISION CLASSIC

The University of Dayton women’s basketball team will play in Connecticut’s World Vision Classic this Nov. 25, 26 and 27 in Storrs, Conn.

Dayton opens the tournament against Buffalo on Friday, Nov. 25 at 5 p.m. ET in Gampel Pavilion. The Flyers play Fairleigh Dickinson Saturday at 5 p.m. and UConn on Sunday at 4:30 p.m. The game against Connecticut marks the 700th in Jim Jabir’s head coaching career. UD’s game against the Huskies will also air on CPTV.

When the Flyers (1-2) step on the floor to take on Buffalo it will be their first game in nine days – their last game, a 75-64 loss to Cincinnati on Nov. 16 at Fifth Third Arena. Dayton also lost on the road to Toledo on Nov. 13. The Flyers’ lone win is an 88-34 victory in their home opener Nov. 1.

Senior Justine Raterman, named to the Wooden Watch List, leads the Flyers in scoring (10.3 ppg) and rebounding (9.0 rpg).
