Last-second 3 pushes Vikings past Bonnies

CLEVELAND (AP) – Trevon Harmon’s 3-pointer with 2.8 seconds left lifted Cleveland State (3-0) to a 67-64 win over St. Bonaventure (1-1) Friday night at the Wolstein Center.

Harmon finished with 20 points for the Vikings (3-0), who also got 12 points apiece from D’Aundray Brown and Jeremy Montgomery.

A pair of baskets by Andrew Nicholson at the start of the second half gave the Bonnies (1-1) a nine-point lead, 41-32, but the Vikings ran off the next nine points to tie it.

St. Bonaventure rebuilt a nine-point lead, 55-46 with 9:31 left, but Cleveland State rallied again and took its first lead of the half, 62-61, on two free throws by Montgomery at the 3-minute mark. Tim Kamczyc’s jumper made it 64-61.Michael Davenport‘s three-point play with 1:30 left tied the game for the final time before Harmon’s game-winner.

Nicholson scored 19 points to pace the Bonnies.
