Jackson Green garnered Tournament MVP as he guided the Penfield Patriots to a second straight Section V Class AA1 title. For an encore, Green earned top honors in leading Penfield to a program-first New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) championship.
The junior guard capped his season with a First Team Class AA All-State selection as announced by the New York State Sportswriters Association (NYSSWA) on Wednesday.
Green, who averaged 17.9 points per game for the season, scored 20 points in the Patriots’ 70-50 win over Victor in the AA1 title game. He netted 26 points on 85.0 percent shooting in the 62-54 win over Amsterdam in the state championship game.
He posted 17 doubles-doubles including in the two championship games when he grabbed 10 rebounds in the sectional title round and 11 boards in the state championship.
A Monroe County Division I First Team selection, Green also was named to the Canisius High Tom Keenan Memorial All-Tournament team in December.
Fellow Penfield Patriots CJ Johnson (Third Team) and Jake McCarthy (Fifth Team) joined Green among the Class AA All-State selections.

Pittsford Mendon’s Joshua Shadders earned a spot on the Eighth Team while Greece Athena’s Russell Ellis, Jr. (10th Team), Pittsford Sutherland’s Jackson Birch (12th Team) and Padilla’s Isaiah Caruthers (13th Team) rounded the Class AA selections from Section V.
Caleb Brown (Greece Athena), Sam Byrne (Pittsford Sutherland), Tremier Lewis (Gates Chili), Jesse Lynn (Wilson Magnet), Roman Maldonado (Irondequoit), Trevor Nally (Pittsford Mendon) and Joey Vigerzi (Gates Chili) were named Class AA Honorable Mention.
2025-26 SMALL-SCHOOL ALL-STATE SELECTIONS.
East High senior Zion Parson topped the Section V Class A selections with a spot on the Third Team.
Parson, the RCAC Player of the Year, averaged 17.5 points per game during the regular season. A two-time All-State selection, Parson topped the 20-point mark on six different occasions during the 2025-26 season, including a season-high 33 points in an 83-82 win at Victor on January 20th.
Talhah Ali (East) was named to the Class A Eighth Team.
Monroe’s Tah’jier Holmes and Navareon Patton earned Ninth and 11th Team selections, respectively. Wayne’s Aidan Twist was named to the Class A 10th Team.

Carson Allen (Aquinas), Terrell Jenkins (Newark, Kaden Larsen-Porter (Geneva), Richie Miles (Wayne), Bruce Newton (School of the Arts), Brien Walker (Monroe) and Gavin White (Batavia) were each named to the Class A Honorable Mention list.
Fairport’s Noah Meabon (Eighth Team) tops the Class AAA selections. Meabon scored 11.8 points per game during the regular season in leading the Red Raiders to the No. 1 seed in Section V Class AAA. He earned Tournament MVP in leading Fairport to its seventh title in program history.
Fellow Red Raider Alex Grejda earned a spot on the 10th Team. UPrep’s Gavin White was named to the NYSSWA Class AAA 12th Team.
Hadi Dergham (Fairport), Jay’vion Sampson (UPrep) and Kaiden Thwaits (Rush-Henrietta) were named Class AAA Honorable Mention.
