ROCHESTER, N.Y. — One day after manufacturing five runs out of four hits in a Game 1 victory, Monroe Community College Baseball committed five errors and dropped Game 2 of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) East Sub-District series to UConn-Avery Point (UCAP), 28-12.
The loss was the worst for the program since a 27-11 drubbing at the hands of Allegany College of Maryland in the East District Championship on May 21st, 2006.

MCC pitchers combined for six walks, three wild pitches and two hit batsmen.
UCAP (27-6) scored eight runs in the first and four more in the third. The Pointers finished the game with 28 hits – six for extra bases.
