Leah Dukes scored nine of her game-high 18 points in the second quarter when Bishop Kearney (2-1) turned a deficit into a double-digit lead on the way to a 59-43 victory over Jamesville-Dewitt (III) on Sunday afternoon.
Dukes connected on a pair of 3-pointers and converted 1-of-3 free throws to pace a 19-4 Kearney effort during the second stanza.
Trailing 17-15 after eight minutes of play, Kearney had five different contributors in the second.
Asia Wilson scored four of her 17 points in the second quarter while Klarissa Goode, Tamia McCadney and Isabella Brookins contributed a bucket apiece.
Goode scored eight in the win. Brookins had six, and McCadney four.
Tallan McCullough (4) and Adrianna Kennedy (2) also contributed to the offense.
Ava Sandroni led Jamesville-Dewitt with 16 points. Samantha Wheeler had 11. Ella Parker and Amarachi Okereke had four apiece.
The game was part of the St. Mary’s (Lancaster) Classic.
