Maddie Fallows delivered a two-out RBI single in the sixth inning for the game winner, and Lilly Goldberg hurled a four-hitter with 15 strike outs to lead Mendon. Arina van Baaren reached on an error to start the Mendon sixth. Felicity Knapp entered as a pinch runner and moved to second on a Jillian Wexler sacrifice bunt. Knapp scored from second on the Fallows single. Kearney’s Carmella Phelan led the home half of the frame with a triple. Goldberg set down two of the next three batters on strikes and induced an infield pop up for the second out of the inning. Phelan was 2-for-3 at the plate and struck out 16.

Leah Sperry struck out 13 in a complete-game effort, and Mercy used a four-run third inning to rebound from a loss and win for the second time in the past three games. Sperry allowed two runs (one earned) on seven hits and three walks. The ninth-grader singled, walked and drove in a run at the plate. Natalie Casale sparked the decisive third with a double that scored two runs. Ava Verdi led the frame with a single. Katie Abbamonte reached on a hit by pitch, and Casale delivered from there. Two outs later, Maddie Oleksyn reached on a hit by pitch. Casale scored on a passed ball, and Oleksyn came home when Bella Mitrano’s ground ball was mishandled. Casale went 2-for-3 with two runs scored. Lillian Seiffert was 1-for-2. Batavia’s Arianna Almekinder and Giana Mruczek finished with two hits apiece. Julia Clark doubled and scored. Drew Stevens also crossed home. Kyleigh Kabel was 1-for-3 with an RBI.

Ella Maloney finished 3-for-3 with a walk and scored in the first inning to help Thomas grab an early 1-0 lead. Eliya Hagan was 2-for-2 with a walk and a run scored. Madeleine Throumoulos was 3-for-4 with a double. Julia Maciag singled and walked for the Titans. Ruby Marrapese added a double. Olivia Bowers also scored for the Titans. Thomas led 2-1 heading into the third inning when Liverpool scored three runs to take a 4-2 lead.

Ella Maloney picked up where she left off earlier in the day going 2-for-2 with two doubles, a walk and three runs scored to lead Thomas. Madeleine Throumoulos went 2-for-3 with a double, a sacrifice and a run scored. Throumoulos scored in the first inning, and the Titans went on to push the first seven runs of the game across home plate. Molly Sweeney went 3-for-4 with an RBI triple in the third. Ruby Marrapese was 2-for-3 with a double and two runs scored. Olivia Constantino walked and scored. Maddie Hicks struck out one and allowed one run on four hits. The senior right-hander face the minimum through four innings. Kaira McMahan singled and scored the lone J-D run in the seventh inning.

Rush-Henrietta leadoff hitter, Audrey Gleghorn finished 2-for-4. Kadyn Hartel singled, walked and scored. Elizabeth Gleghorn and Katelyn Militello both drove in a run with a base hit. Etta Neubeck walked and crossed home. Liz Rinella accounted for a single. R-H took a 1-0 lead in the first and the game was tied at one heading into the fifth when Liverpool scored six runs.

Kyla Piedici finished 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored to lead R-H. Liz Rinella singled and scored. Kaylee Hartman brought in a run with a single. Audrey Gleghorn and Kadyn Hartel had a base hit apiece.

Zara Vattimo struck out four and scattered three hits over seven innings for the win. Ella Maley provided the offense going 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBI. Lynnette Clark drove in a run with single.

Junior third basemen Maggie Zastrow went 3-for-5 with a double and five RBI to lead Kendall. Gracie Robb finished 3-for-4 at the plate with two RBI while Isabella D’Agostino was 2-for-3 with two walks and an RBI. Danielle Offhaus struck out 10 and threw a three-hitter to earn the win. Brooke Rodas added three hits including a double and two RBI. Teagan Shaw, Makaila Abrams, Inez Stangler, and Sophia Picardo all had a hit apiece for the Eagles.

Abbie DeRock struck out 10 and hurled a two-hitter as Letchworth clinched a share of the LCAA Division II title with its eight straight win. Autumn Mann finished 2-for-3 and drove in a run to lead the offense. Trinity Scott singled and stole two bases. Kaylie Emmons singled and had an RBI. Alexis Mitchell was 1-for-3. Grace Mitchell collected an RBI with a sacrifice bunt.
“I couldn’t be more proud of the girls,” said Letchworth head coach Chad DeRock via email. “They were not happy with how we were playing in the early part of the season and they took accountability. They have worked tremendously hard to get better and be the team they should be. Their focus, their work ethic, and their down right grit and tenacity is what has turned this season around.”

Neveah Ross struck out 26 batters and provided the walk-off single to lead Friendship-Scio. Jadyn Wonderling led the 10th with a base hit and moved to second on a Leanne Pierce single before Ross connected on the game winner. Wonderling collected an RBI in the second inning when Emily Lamberson scored. Cierra Davenport singled and scored in the fourth. The 26-strike out effort from Ross follows a 25-K performance a week ago. This Saturday’s effort is good for fourth in the New York State record book with Jasmine Ennabe (Carmel) holding the mark at 28 batters retired on strikes in a 13-inning game. Meyah Putnam singled twice and scored both Avoca-Prattsburgh runs.

Mattie McCumiskey connected on a solo home run, walked twice and scored three runs to lead Fillmore. Presless Miller doubled, walked, drove in a run and scored another. Mylee Miller struck out four, walked four and allowed two runs (one earned) on four hits in a complete-game effort. At the plate, the ninth-grader walked twice, collected two RBI and scored a run. Kylee Ellsworth was 1-for-3 with a walk and an RBI. Julia Beardsley walked and scored. Montana Gayford and Chloe Wolfe accounted for a single apiece in the win.
