TEAM: Aquinas Li’l Irish

LEAGUE/CLASS: Private-Parochial/A

COACH: Mark Loria (12th season – sixth at Aquinas. Previously coached at East Rochester/149-85).

LAST SEASON: Finished 12-9, lost to Midlakes 50-30 in Class B quarterfinals.

TOP RETURNERS: Molly O’Toole 5-foot-10 Jr. G (First Team All Private-Parochial as a sophomore); Loren Green 5-foot-6 9th-grade G (First Team All Private-Parochial as an eighth grader); Jade Harvey 5-foot-8 9th-grade G; AJ Orr 5-foot-7 So. G (First Team All Private-Parochial); Samiyah Wright 6-foot Jr. C.

TOP NEWCOMERS: Carle Thomas 8th-grade G

NEXT GAME: Thursday, December 21st at Penfield. A 7:00 PM tip-off is scheduled.

COACH LORIA’S WORDS: “We love to play with pace and tempo with an emphasis on transition. We are athletic and dynamic. We have multiple girls who can shoot the basketball and finish at the rim. We expect to compete in Class A this year.

“Entire team is back with the exception of ninth-grader Layla Germany who unfortunately tore her ACL in the spring during her AAU season. She is currently rehabbing and will return next year.”
