NBA Recap: Isaiah Stewart continues to put up numbers for Pistons

Rochester native Isaiah Stewart is continuing to put numbers for the Detroit Pistons.

The 6’8″ center had 11 points, seven boards, five assists and two steals on Saturday against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Last Wednesday against the Los Angeles Lakers, Stewart finished with 12 points, three rebounds and a block. Stewart had five points and seven boards versus the Knicks this past Thursday.

In 20 games so far this season, the former McQuaid standout is averaging 11.2 points and 7.2 rebounds per game.

Stewart and the Pistons (2-18), currently on a 17-game losing skid, host the Memphis Grizzlies at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Thomas Bryant (Miami Heat)

The ex-Bishop Kearney star contributed two points and four rebounds in the Heat’s 142-132 victory over the Indiana Pacers last Thursday.

Bryant and the Heat (11-9) take on the Toronto Raptors this Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.

NBA G-LEAGUE

Quinton Rose (Rip City Remix)

Rochester native Quinton Rose had 23 points (3-of-5 from 3-point range), three assists, three rebounds and two steals in the Rip City Remix’s 102-95 win over the Santa Cruz Warriors this past Saturday. The Remix are the NBA G-League affiliate of the Portland Trail Blazers.

In 10 games so far this season, the former Bishop Kearney standout is averaging 6.7 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game.

Rose and the Remix (5-5) face the Stockton Kings (4-5) this Saturday at 6 p.m.
