Rochester native Isaiah Stewart recorded a double-double in the Detroit Pistons’ season opener against the Miami Heat on Wednesday.
In the Pistons’ 103-102 loss to the Heat, Stewart finished with 14 points and 14 rebounds, including eight boards on defense. The 6’8″ center also had two assists.
Stewart and the Pistons (0-1) face the Charlotte Hornets at 7 p.m. Friday.
Bryant performed well off the bench in the Heat’s win over the Pistons on Wednesday.
In his debut with Miami, the Rochester native had eight points, six boards, three assists and a steal in 16 minutes. Bryant was also 4-of-5 from the charity stripe.
Bryant and the Heat (1-0) go up against the Boston Celtics this Friday at 7:30 p.m.
Nate (Jeenathan) Williams (Houston Rockets)
Williams played five minutes and scored four points in the Rockets’ 116-86 loss to the Orlando Magic on Wednesday.
Next up for Williams and the Rockets (0-1) is the San Antonio Spurs this Friday at 8 p.m.
Jalen Pickett (Denver Nuggets)
The Rochester native recorded a bucket in Denver’s 119-107 win over the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday.
Pickett and the Nuggets (1-0) take on the Memphis Grizzles at 7 p.m. Friday.
