Byron-Bergen (Class C) and Keshequa (Class D) advanced to New York State semifinals a year ago. Those two reigning champions are among a 2023 Class C2 field which consists of seven teams with double-digit wins during the regular season including top-seeded and undefeated Gananda, the 2022 C1 champion.

Byron-Bergen is looking to win its third straight C2 title. The Bees are the only team to knock off Gananda in the past two seasons having outlasted the Blue Panthers in overtime, 3-2 in last season’s Class C regional qualifier. Keshequa has won six straight games and 11 of 12 heading into the postseason.

First-round action opens with Red Jacket/East Palmyra-Christian battling South Seneca/Romulus on Monday for a spot in the first round against Gananda on Tuesday.
