PITTSFORD SUTHERLAND (12-2) 4
PITTSFORD MENDON (4-9) 3

Andrew Holvey and Ryan Munzinger both doubled and scored as Sutherland grabbed an early three-run lead and went on to win its ninth straight game. Munzinger came home on a Sam Renica two-out single in the second inning to give the Knights a lead they did not surrender at 2-1. Holvey doubled and scored in a two-run third for a 4-1 Sutherland lead. Thomas Carter struck out two over two innings for the win. Jaxon Bernas fanned two and retired all six batters he faced in two innings of relief work to register a save. Max Vorrasi walked twice and scored a run. Owen Osborne singled and scored. Jack Armanini also had a hit for the Knights. Mendon’s Jaden Singer doubled, drove in a run and scored another. Jack Albanese doubled and scored. Colden Forney walked and scored for the Vikings. Noah Lerner-Morelle went the distance for the Vikings striking out six and allowing four runs (one earned) on five hits.

BRIGHTON (6-9) 5
SPENCERPORT (5-8) 4 (eight innings)

John Ahrens finished 2-for-4 including a lead off single in the eighth to spark a three-run Bruins’ frame. Ahrens, who doubled and drove in a run earlier in the game, eventually scored when Aaron Kotrides reached on an error in the eighth. Andrew Cranston also singled and scored in the decisive frame. Kotrides struck out four over 3.2 innings of relief work to pick up the win. Grady Hopkin started and allowed one run on five hits and one walk over 4.1 innings. At the plate, Hopkin singled and scored. Will Pecor singled, walked and crossed home. Kotrides walked and had two RBI. Carter Sloan added a single for Brighton. Spencerport’s Frank Grad went 4-for-4 on the day and drove in a pair of runs with a two-out triple in the bottom of the eighth to make it a one-run game. Lorenzo Tantalo was 3-for-4 with a double and a run scored. Kyle Milburn had two hits in five at-bats with two runs scored. Bryon Streb was 2-for-4 with an RBI. Noah Barrevecchia walked and scored.

PENFIELD (3-12) 1
FAIRPORT (11-5) 9

Sam Miller homered, drove in five runs, went 3-for-5 on the day with two runs scored and struck out six over 6.1 innings of work to lead Fairport. Miller drove in Stephen Rizzolo as part of a three-run first inning. His grand slam in the sixth highlighted a six-run frame as the Red Raiders pulled away for the victory. Will Stanek went 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored. Rizzolo scored twice in the win. Antonio Jorge and Nathan Mathis both walked and scored. Jackson Rucker had a single. Nathan VanDeVoorde struck out a batter in two-thirds of an inning in relief. Penfield’s Aiden Cook was 2-for-3 with a run scored. Aiden Pellow doubled and drove in a run. Travis Bush added a single for the Patriots.

NORTHSTAR CHRISTIAN (5-3) 4
EASTRIDGE (5-9) 1

Dominic Kurmis hurled a complete-game 4-hitter and went 2-for-4 at the plate with two RBI to lead Northstar Christian which scored all four of its runs in the fifth inning. Tim Leary was 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI in the win. Eastridge’s Brennen Russo doubled and drove in a run. Xzavier Hughey was 2-for-3 with a walk. Jayden Inglese singled, walked and scored for the Lancers. Declan Caron hurled two scoreless innings of relief and retired six of the eight batters he faced.

McQUAID JESUIT (8-7) 6
RUSH-HENRIETTA (5-9) 2

Matt Wilmarth struck out 11 without allowing a walk over six-and-a-third innings to lead McQuaid which jumped out to 6-0 lead after four innings. The junior allowed seven hits and both runs scored against him were unearned. Luca Ciaramitaro finished 3-for-4 with a home run, two RBI and a run scored. Nick Boev was 2-for-4 with a triple, an RBI and a run scored. Sam Stone singled, drove in a run and scored once. Thomas Bailey drove in a run with a single and scored. Ian Fleck was 2-for-4. Roger Friedlander singled and scored. Kevin Nagel walked and scored. Rush-Henrietta’s Quentin Grimes was 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored. Mason Davey doubled in his only at-bat and scored. Charles Sobaszek was 2-for-3. Evan Brock went 2-for-4. Connor Nguyen had a single.

GREECE ODYSSEY/OLYMPIA (6-8) 5
GENEVA (8-2) 6 (eight innings)

Gavin Brignall finished 5-for-5 and scored a walk-off run as Geneva put together back-to-back wins. Brignall led the home half of the eighth with a single and eventually scored on a fielder’s choice. The senior catcher drove in two runs and scored twice. Jacob Turturro struck out three and allowed two hits without giving up an earned run over four innings of relief to pick up the win. Turturro also was 1-for-3 with a walk, an RBI and run scored at the plate. Lucas Springer doubled and drove in a run. Joey Hart was 2-for-3 with a double, walk, RBI and run scored. Tyler Arno singled, walked and scored. Odyssey/Olympia’s Tyler Ashton and Ty VanEpps both had two hits and a run scored. VanEpps drove in a run. Ashton had a double. Alex Frisone drove in two runs with a double and eventually scored. Chris Coriano singled, walked and scored. Matt Jason drove in a run with a base hit. Angelo Ubal singled, walked twice and scored.

Michael Calogero finished 3-for-4 on the day including a two-run, go-ahead single with one out in the sixth inning as Aquinas won its fifth straight game. Calogero drove in three runs and scored once. The sophomore also started and struck out four over five innings. Patrick Altpeter went 3-for-4 with a run scored. Jimmy Marotta singled and drove in two runs. Lucas Leone doubled, scored and worked a scoreless inning of relief to register a save. Tré Walker worked an inning of relief for the win.

LIVONIA (8-5) 4
LE ROY (6-7) 5 eight innings

Alex Spezzano plated Ryan Higgins with a two-out single, and Le Roy walked off with the win. Higgins worked a base on balls to start the inning and moved to third on back-to-back sacrifice bunts from Jake Higgins and Cal Koukides to set up Spezzano for the game winner. Spezzano started, struck out four and allowed four runs on five hits over five innings. Jackson Spezzano struck out seven over three innings of relief work. Ryan and Jake Higgins delivered back-to-back two-run doubles in the sixth inning as Le Roy erased a four-run deficit. Livonia’s Alex Benitez and Connor Benitez both had RBI doubles for the Bulldogs. Jack Kearney drove in a run with a single. Matt Bean started and struck out nine over 5.2 innings for Livonia.

WARSAW (7-2) 21
GENESEO (7-5) 6

Ty Joy went 3-for-4 with two doubles, three stolen bases, a walk, four runs scored and five RBI to pace Warsaw to its best offensive output of the season. The Tigers scored three runs in the first, two more in the second and six in the third before putting the game away with a 10-spot in the fifth. Mason McClurg was 3-for-4 with a double, a stolen base, a run scored and four RBI in the win. Cole Liebler finished 3-for-5 with three runs scored and three RBI. Patrick Klump reached base four times with two hits and two walks. Klump scored three runs and drove in two. Dom Fanaro and Bailey both singled, drove in a run and scored once. McClurg started and struck out six over five innings of work to pick up the win.

Ian Goodness struck out 15 and walked two in a complete-game effort as Pal-Mac ran its win streak to 10. Goodness allowed two runs (one earned) on three hits. Noah Brooks went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run, four RBI and two runs scored to pace the offense. Christian Morrison doubled, drove in two and walked three times. Brennan Pipitone, and Will Caffyn singled and scored a run apiece. Jack Merritt was 1-for-3 with two runs scored. Jayden Ryrko led Mynderse going 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored. Jake Prayne added a single for the Blue Devils.

BLOOMFIELD (6-2) 1
RED JACKET (6-5) 0

Gabe Ward hurled a 2-hit shutout and went 3-for-3 at the plate with two doubles to lead Bloomfield. David Nowak singled and drove in Ward for the game’s only run. Red Jacket’s Aiden Reed went the distance and also had a hit in the game.

BLOOMFIELD (7-2) 13
EAST ROCHESTER (8-7) 5

Morgan McLaughlin started and allowed three runs over four innings to pick up the win. Joe Walsh allowed two runs over three innings of relief work. Gunner Vogel, Kevin Dredger and Gabe Ward had three hits apiece for the Bombers. Dave Nowak added two hits. East Rochester’s Tyler Leisten had two hits. 

LYONS (0-13) 2
CLYDE-SAVANNAH (5-8) 8

Jackson Barr struck out 11, walked three and did not allow an earned run in a complete-game performance. Landon Bachman went 2-for-3 with a triple and two RBI to lead the offense. Garrett Carr was 2-for-3 with two runs and three stolen bases. Spencer Bloomer added a two-run double. Boden Bullock went 2-for-2 with two runs scored for Lyons.

NORTH ROSE-WOLCOTT (10-2) 15
WILLIAMSON (5-6) 5

Axton Paul allowed two runs on five hits, and North Rose-Wolcott won its sixth straight game. Marcus Haffner had three RBI. Logan Caves and AJ Anthony added two RBI apiece. Evan DeWisplaere and Paul both drove in a run.  

MIDLAKES (6-4) 8 eight innings
GANANDA (5-10) 7
Kyle Kumkey finished 4-for-5 and scored the go-ahead run in extra innings as Midlakes won its third straight game and fourth in the past five. Kumkey had two doubles, two RBI, and two runs scored out of the leadoff spot while Jackson Nurse was 2-for-5 with a triple, two RBI and a run scored. Brady Day connected on a double in the eighth to put Kumkey in scoring position. Kumkey took advantage of a passed ball to score the eventual game winner. Nathan Laird doubled, walked, drove in a run and scored another. John Deboover was 2-for-5 with an RBI. Gananda’s Henry Shutts was 3-for-4 with a double, two RBI and two runs scored. Jackson Giancursio went 2-for-4 with a double, two RBI and a run scored. Maddox Stoughton walked and scored for the Blue Panthers. Aidan Giancursio singled and walked. Jack Frick walked, scored and drove in a run. Owen Switzer singled and scored.

Preston Bilotta finished 2-for-4 on the day including a leadoff single in the seventh. Bilotta eventually scored the winning run on a wild pitch. Jacob Smith struck out 12 and didn’t allow a walk in the win. Smith went 2-for-4 with walk and a run scored. Braeden Wight singled, walked and scored. Dean Frank, Jack Frank, Allen Fuller III and Eli Sleggs scored a run apiece. Kaden Mitchell and Noah Warriner both doubled and scored for Canisteo-Greenwood in the top of the seventh inning to tie the score. Warriner was 2-for-4 with two doubles in the game. Mitchell was also 2-for-4. Colby Lamphier was 2-for-3 with two runs scored. Taige Stewart and Korbyn Osterwlad led the game with back-to-back singles and eventually scored to give C-G a 2-0 lead.

Jaden Sherwood struck out six and allowed two runs (one earned) on six hits over five innings to pick up the win. Bryceton Berry hurled two no-hit innings with one strikeout for the save. Berry capped a five-run fifth with a single that scored two runs. Charles Cummings drove in a run with a single. Oakfield-Alabama’s Colton Yasses struck out nine over six innings and allowed five runs (three earned) on two hits and two walks. David Schnaufer III, Austin Pangrazio and Kyle Porter strung together three consecutive two-out hits in the fourth inning. Schnaufer and Pangrazio eventually scored.

ATTICA (6-5) 1
BATAVIA (8-5) 12

Sawyer Siverling finished 2-for-3 with a triple, two RBI and a run scored while Dane Dombrowski was 2-for-3 with a double, three RBI and a run scored to pace the Batavia offense. Cole Grazioplene singled, walked twice, drove in a run and scored three times. Trevor Cole singled and drove in two runs. Maggio Buchholz singled, drove in three and scored once. Aidan Anderson was 1-for-2 with an RBI and a run scored. Evan Alexander and Ryan Fazio both singled and scored. Siverling struck out four over 3.2 innings of work to pick up the win.

NOTRE DAME-BATAVIA (13-0) 3
BATAVIA (8-6) 2

Tournament MVP Bryceton Berry struck out nine and allowed two runs on eight hits and a walk as Notre Dame-Batavia claimed the 2023 Batavia Rotary Championship. Eighth-grader Chase Antinore connected on a two-out, two-run single in the fourth when ND-B erased a two-run deficit and took a lead it did not surrender. Trailing 2-0, Ryan Fitzpatrick reached on an error to start the inning. One out later, Hayden Groff was hit by a pitch. Jordan Welker took advantage of an error to get on base and bring home the first run of the inning. Antinore followed one out later. Antinore went 2-for-2 in the game. Batavia’s Shawn Kimball struck out six over six innings of work on the mound and went 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored at the plate. Dane Dombrowski was 1-for-2 with a walk and an RBI. Sawyer Siverling singled and scored. Jameson Motyka singled and drove in a run for the Blue Devils.

GATES CHILI (2-12) 1
IRONDEQUOIT () 16

Tino Tiermini hurled four innings without allowing an earned run and paced a 14-hit attack with a double and a grand slam. Tiermini started, struck out three, walked one and allowed two hits. The senior gave Irondequoit a 12-1 lead in the fourth inning with his blast. He finished 2-for-3 at the plate with five RBI and two runs scored. Connor Gresens went 3-for-3 with a double, RBI and four runs scored in the win. Zachary Haight and Taylor Filighera both went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI. Haight also scored a run. Kip Bertram doubled and drove in two runs. Landon Bryan was 2-for-4 with a walk, two RBI and two runs scored. Leo Tellier hurled a scoreless inning of relief. Alex Kozak struck out five over two relief innings. Dylan Sweeney singled and drove in the lone Gates Chili run. Zachary Antinelli singled and scored for the Spartans.

McQUAID JESUIT (8-8) 1
CHRISTIAN BROTHERS ACADEMY (III) 2

Ian Fleck finished 2-for-3 with an RBI to lead McQuaid. Connor Forkey singled and scored for the Jesuit Knights. Preston Foryt started, struck out six and allowed two runs (one earned) on seven hits and one walk.
