Terence Thompson logged a 20-20 double-double, Sha’Mere Freeman topped the 30-point mark for the third time this season, and Franklin won its third straight game. Thompson finished with 22 points, 20 rebounds, five blocks and three steals. The 6-foot-7 junior accounted for nine points in the fourth quarter when Franklin outscored McQuaid, 32-24 to pull away from a single-digit game after 24 minutes of action. Freeman, who scored 34 points earlier in the week in a win over Gates-Chili and had 37 in last Saturday’s victory over Webster Schroeder, finished with a game-high 32 points. The senior guard also handed out six assists and had six rebounds. Clarence Thompson finished with 20 points, three steals and three blocks. Shawn Goins (5) and Karon Beale (3) also scored for Franklin. Casey Montesano scored 16 to lead three in double figures for McQuaid. Nikki Yudin had 15 points while Ian Florence scored 12. Patrick Tehan (7), Anthony DiMarco (7), Isaiah Anderson (5) and Gabe Zawolo (2) also contributed to the scoring for McQuaid.

E’mere Fulton accounted for nine of his 18 points in the third quarter when Vertus turned a one-point halftime deficit into double-digit advantage and went on to avenge a loss from last weekend. Fulton connected four times from the floor coming out of the locker room to pace a 22-6 effort by the Warriors. Jayden Ridley-Smith connected on five 3-pointers in the contest and led Vertus with 23 points. Reginald Pough added 15 in the win. Terrance Clark scored six points while Malachi Davis added five. Marcus Ridley (2) and Talhah Ali (2) also scored for Vertus. Jaivein Fell led Northeast with 25 points. Michael Cathey added 12. Loren Thomas scored eight points for the Panthers. Mikell Timmons (4), Christon Wester (4), Monty Velletri (3) and Glenn Wilson also scored for the Panthers. Northeast defeated Vertus in the championship of the Al Masino Memorial Tip-Off Tournament last Saturday.

JC Walker scored 20 of his game-high 29 points in the first half to help Lyons jump to a double-digit lead. The Lions then used a 19-1 advantage in the third quarter to put the game away. Walker finished with 14 rebounds for the double-double along with five steals and two assists. Jacob Sides added 10 points, four rebounds and three steals while Jamire Johnson had 10 points, eight rebounds, two blocks and one steal. Michael Briggs (5), Jaiden Lopez (4) and Devyn Williams (2) also contributed to the offense. The Lyons defense limited East Rochester to seven field goals through the first three quarters of play. ER’s Mike Daniels and Aidan Graves scored 10 apiece to lead the Bombers’ offense. Matt Michalski accounted for five points. Shamar Irving (4), Teddy Cummings (3), Landon Wollschleger (3), Sam Tanner (3) and Eli Tanner (2) also scored.

Theo Colosimo and Salvatore Timpani connected on a pair of 3-pointers and scored 16 points apiece to lead HAC which outscored Midlakes in all four quarters. Midlakes junior Kyle Kumkey had 17 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the floor and 3-of-7 from the free throw line. Kumkey also had nine rebounds and two steals.

Abbott led all scorers with 27 points. Campbell and Macoy Putnam added 19 apiece. Jamie Reagan scored five points. Chris Abbott and James Funk both scored two points.
