Fusion Digital Friday Girls’ Basketball Wrap: Bell leads Lyons rally; Belcher’s double-double is enough for Dansville

Mariah Watkins collected seven of her game-high 35 points in the second quarter when Schroeder outscored Fairport 14-9 to take a 13-point lead into halftime. Watkins connected three times from the floor and converted 1-of-2 free throws in the frame. The junior guard connected on a pair of 3-pointers and scored 13 points in the third quarter. Watkins also grabbed 14 rebounds. Ava Gallup added 13 points in the win, and Bria Watkins had 10. Mya Perales (9), Addison Morgan (2), Kylie Clement (2) and Sarah Ferruzza (2) also scored for the Warriors. Colgate University commit Ella Meabon led Fairport with 16 points. SUNY Binghamton commit Bella Pucci scored 13 points. Ne’Vaeh Buntley added nine. Sarah Hirschler (7), Liv Amadori (5) and Amiya Johnson (3) also scored for the Red Raiders.

Sadie Scott scored 17 points to lead Brighton. Teammates Olivia Rush and Katie Hardie added 12 and 10 points respectively. Nora Smith (4), Avery Thompson (2), Camryn Sloan (2), Shannon O’Hora (2) and Kaiya Larkins (1) also scored for the Bruins. Spencerport’s Lundyn McCutchen scored 11 points to top the Rangers’ offense. Jorga Gray added eight points. Julia Latronica and Alena Zaher added five points apiece.

Karlee Hargarther accounted for 13 points, four rebounds and four steals while Leah Thompson had eight points and eight rebounds. Elena Graziano contributed seven points for the Cadets. Avery Roberts led Rush-Henrietta with 12 points.

Cecilia Peinado Calvo scored 16 points to lead the Pittsford Sutherland offense. Petra Hunt added 12 points while Leora Cook and Eden Lewis scored 10 apiece in the win. Ella Brennan led Irondequoit with 13 points.

Emily Fordham accounted for seven points, and Grace Alexander chipped in with six. Emma Alexander, Anna Coyle and Ashley Kalvitis each scored two points for the Patriots. Devin Livingston paced the Victor offense with eight points. Vanessa Cumacero, Abbie Murphy and Emily Neenan each scored four points. Maia Pronti had two.

Jayla Bell scored 20 of her game-high 25 points in the second half when Lyons rallied to take its first lead of the game early in the fourth. Bell also finished with eight rebounds, four assists and two steals in the win. Teammate Millenyiah Glanton grabbed 12 rebounds. The win was the first under first-year head coach Calvin Betts.

Aynsley Belcher posted a double-double of 21 points and 19 rebounds to lead Dansville. Chelsie Tyler and Kali Meyer added 16 points in the win. Meyer connected on 4-of-5 shots from behind the 3-point arc. Tyler had four rebounds and three assists. Megan Tyler accounted for five points and six rebounds. Emma Allen had four points, three rebounds and three steals. Alivia Mosman (6), Taylor Hamsher (5) and Emma Butters (2) also scored for the Mustangs. Kiersten Conroy led Perry with 22 points.
