Seven straight Knights reached in a six-run third as Sutherland jumped to an 8-0 lead on the way to its fifth straight win. Tia Lehtonen sparked the outburst with a double. The junior leadoff hitter walked three times in the game and scored four runs. Julianna Lyons finished 2-for-5 with a double, two RBI and two runs scored in the win. Gabrielle Lyons went 3-for-3 with three RBI and two runs scored. Maddy Ward had two hits including a double and scored once. Riley Gonzalez singled, drove in a run and scored twice. Alexandra Sippel collected a hit and two RBI. Petra Hunt struck out seven in a complete-game effort. Eastridge’s Neveah Bunch went 3-for-4 out of the leadoff spot with two runs scored. Carly Brockman collected two RBI and three runs scored.

Anna Bello went 3-for-5 with a triple, three RBI and a run scored in the win. Emma Bello was 2-for-4 with two walks, three runs scored and an RBI. Izzy Giorgione drove in three runs with three hits. Emily Ford, Julia Maciag, Mary Marrapese and Molly Sweeney collected a hit apiece. Rose Nicastro struck out 10 over four innings of work to pick up the win. Hicks hurled three shutout innings in relief. Gates Chili’s Abby Unson connected on a two-run home run. Lily McMenemy went 2-for-3 with a run scored.

Emma Bello went 2-for-3 and added an insurance run with a sacrifice fly in the fifth. Mary Marrapese singled, drove in a run and scored another. Emily Ford walked and scored a run.

Ashly Wright struck out 18 and hurled a no-hitter as Bloomfield stayed unbeaten on the season. The ninth-grader walked two, faced 24 batters in the win and went 2-for-3 at the plate with a double, two RBI and a run scored. Eighth-grader Calla McCombs went 3-for-4 with three runs scored out of the leadoff spot. Emma Macartney doubled and drove in two runs. Brynn Westlake finished 2-for-3. Abby O’Brien singled and drove in a run. Brianna Leitten walked and scored a run. The shutout was the sixth this season for Bloomfield which has allowed three runs.

McKinlee Harris and Haley Mascho added fuel to the fire for the hosts, as they combined to drive in the next three runs, two of them would come off of a two-run triple to deep right center by Harris, while Mascho had the last off a single.
