Pinch-runner Sammy Seymour scored the winning run on a passed ball as Gates-Chili claimed its second straight victory. With the game tied at two, James Connelly IV reached on hit by pitch to start the sixth. Seymour came on, stole second and eventually scored with two outs. Charles Healey struck out six over five innings of work to pick up the victory. The senior right-hander allowed two runs on six hits and two walks. Regan Clancy hurled two shutout innings of relief to register the win. Alan Henry and Vincent Lucyszyn both finished 2-for-4 with a run scored at the plate. The pair scored in the fourth on one of two hits on the day from Angelo Morales. Athena’s Jaden Madrid went 3-for-4 on the day including a double with an RBI and a run scored. The junior stole two bases. Sammy Saucke, Aleks Englert, TJ Kurtz, Jayden Rapp and Riley Catena had a hit apiece for the Trojans.

Jack Kearney and Wyatt Raponi both finished 3-for-4 with two RBI as Livonia ended its week at the Cal Ripken Experience in South Carolina. Conner Benitez went 2-for-4 with three runs scored and two RBI. Madison-Middletown loaded the bases in the seventh before Kearney started a game-ending double play. CJ Mangone led the game with a base hit. Tré Walker followed with a base on balls. One out later, Robert McCullough pushed across the first runs. Emily McManus doubled and went 3-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored as Gates jumped out to an 11-0 lead. Abby Unson finished 2-for-5 with two RBI and three run scored while Lily McMenemy and Hannah Brown both had two hits in four at-bats in the win. Brown scored once and drove in three runs. McMenemy walked and scored a run. Abbie Graupman, Mackenzie Brown and Marilee Panyasith scored two runs apiece. Gabriella Meyers collected two walks, an RBI and a run scored. Panyasith struck out three and allowed two runs (one earned) in a complete-game effort to pick up the win. Macie Vetter, Skylar Zapata, and Ally Ray Schumacher each had one hit for Greece.

Lily McMenemy finished 3-for-4 as Gates completed a doubleheader sweep. The sophomore outfielder doubled and scored the game’s first run. She later singled and scored in a five-run seventh as the Spartans pulled away. Emily McManus went 2-for-4 with a double, triple, three RBI and a run scored. Abbie Graupman was 2-for-4 with two RBI. Korie Mae Spirito had two hits in three at-bats with an RBI and a run scored. Mackenzie Brown and Deanna Georgetti scored two run apiece. Hannah Brown and Jayda Hardy added a run apiece. Abby Unson doubled in the win. Graupman struck out 12 and allowed three runs (two earned) on two hits and six walks for the win. Skylar Zapata singled and Ally Ray Schumacher doubled for Athena/Odyssey/Olympia.
