
Finger Lakes East rivals will battle for the third time this season with a spot in the New York State Class B Girls’ Far West Regional on the line. Section V Class B1 champion Waterloo Indians and B2 champ Midlakes Screaming Eagles meet Tuesday night. Here’s the breakdown:

Scoring offense: Waterloo (60.8 PPG), Midlakes (50.4 PPG)
Scoring defense: Waterloo (31.9 PPG), Midlakes (36.3 PPG)

Current streak: Waterloo has won its last nine games by double-digits; Midlakes has won six straight and nine of its past 10.
How they arrived here: Waterloo defeated No. 9 seed North Rose-Wolcott/Sodus, 72-21 in the quarterfinals before downing fourth-seeded Palmyra-Macedon, 61-51, in the semis and No. 2 Hornell to claim its second straight sectional title . Midlakes opened sectionals with a 58-35 victory over No. 8 Dansville, before downing fifth-seeded Penn Yan, 47-45. The Screaming Eagles claimed their third title in five years with a 51-41 win over Wellsville.
Last time they met: Waterloo took both regular-season meetings between the programs with a 60-47 win on December 10th and 39-28 on January 24th.
