HOW IT HAPPENED
- Both teams were locked in a defensive battle early on, as a Stockman bucket on the first possession was the only score for the first four minutes of the game. Later in the opening quarter, the Knights went on a 6-0 run to help take a 12-8 advantage into the second quarter.
- Geneseo went on to extend its lead to 12 points in the second quarter behind two threes from Stockman and one from sophomore forward Kerry Dennin. The Knights carried an eight-point lead into the second half.
- Brockport tried to make a run early in the third quarter, but Geneseo quickly shot down any hopes of a comeback and regained a double-digit advantage. They went on to have their best offensive quarter of the game with 19 points, which allowed them to control the tempo in the fourth quarter and earn the 62-48 win.
