Roberto Echevarria scored 10 of his team-high 21 points in the third quarter. The senior guard connected on nine field goals, including a three-pointer in the extra period. Chrishton Wester came alive for 13 points after the opening stanza in which the Panthers led, 16-14. The sophomore guard grabbed eight rebounds. Asiatic Rahmaan and Wilson Riaa both contributed 11 points. Riaa accumulated 14 rebounds. For Early College, Jahan Richetts poured in a game-high 29 points. The senior guard scored two points in the first quarter, 10 in the second, seven in the third, six in the fourth and four in overtime. Jamezs Brown netted 15 points in three quarters. Lewis ignited the offense with 15 of his 17 points in the opening period as the Vikings surged to a 27-11 advantage. Four of the junior guard’s seven made shots came from inside the arc. Krowl netted 15 points by converting five of six field goals inside the arc and a pair of free throws. Lindley produced 10 of his 12 points in the second half as the Vikings outscored the Leopards, 38-13. For Greece Odyssey, junior guard Maron McDonald led with 16 points in three quarters. The senior guard hauled in 10 rebounds for a double-double, swiped six steals and dished out five assists. Hayden Abbott converted seven field goals, including five from inside the arc, for 16 points along with five steals. Sawyer Devoe scored all 15 of his points in three quarters. Livonia’s Chris Coyle scored 21 of his game-high 27 points in the second half, including three long-range shots in the fourth quarter to pace the Bulldogs past Hornell. The Bulldogs were up 59-58 with 32 seconds to go and Coyle was fouled on an attempted three-pointer. The junior forward knocked down all three foul shots to make it to a two-possession game, 62-58. The Bulldogs stopped the Red Raiders on their ensuing possession and the Red Raiders needed to foul get the ball back. Senior center Justin Skelly was eventually fouled with 10 seconds left and hit both foul shots in a one-and-one situation to put the Bulldogs up 64-58. The Bulldogs went 7-of-7 from the free throw line in the fourth quarter. Senior center Evan Swan had 10 points and 10 rebounds. The Red Raiders put back a missed shot as time expired to end the game at 64-60. Sophomore guard Gennaro Picco led with 24 points.

Junior forward Payton Bownds netted seven points and grabbed nine rebounds. Kevin DeLoria and Chase Young both chipped in two points. Young dished out five assists and swiped three steals. Unfortunately, we shot 22 percent from the field, leaving some very easy buckets out there. We came out in the second half down 14 and with two minutes left in the quarter, cut the lead to under 10 points. Then a Kyle Wade three-pointer and Alex Carnes layup finished off the quarter. We did a much better job on the glass this game. Somers, Bownds and DeLoria combined for 22 defensive rebounds compared to 20 offensive boards with 70 points in the paint last game.”

Barrett grabbed five rebounds and handed out four assists. Edick collected two assists.

In perhaps one of the loudest responses to the Lady Falcons, it would soon shape into the biggest night of her life. Quite simply — Emma Cole was a force to be reckoned with.
Fillmore’s main weapon in the arsenal could not be denied not only on defense, but on the attack, as the senior gave her team the best of both worlds throughout the night by recording a career-high 41 points to pair with a whopping 20 rebounds and six blocks to complete perhaps the biggest double-double yet.
