ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Emmanuel Leftenant helped Eastridge to three wins in three outings as did Shawn Mason and Webster Thomas. Khorie Reaves stuffed the stat in a Greece Athena victory, and Webster Schroeder’s Gio Schillaci had a career night in leading the Warriors to their second win of the week. Monroe County League coaches named the four Players of the Week (January 24th-30th) for their respective divisions.

Schillaci exploded for a career-high 30 points in 30 minutes to lead Schroeder past Pittsford Sutherland and earn Monroe County Division I Player of the Week (POTW). The junior guard shot 11-of-18 (61 percent) from the floor including 8-of-13 (53 percent) from long range in the game. He also grabbed five rebounds and handed out two assists without committing a turnover. Earlier in the week, Schillaci scored 14 over 19 minutes of action in a Schroeder victory over Rush-Henrietta. He hit 4-of-9 shots in the win.
Mason shot 50 percent from long range over three Thomas victories to nab Division II POTW. The junior guard opened the week with a 5-of-8 performance from distance in a win over Churchville-Chili. He followed that with an 8-of-13 effort for a game-high 23 points in the Titans’ 67-57 win over previously undefeated Pittsford Mendon. That win snapped a 27-game Mendon winning streak. Mason capped his week with 14 points on 5-of-11 shooting from the floor in a 54-44 win over league Irondequoit. In all, Mason shot 19-of-37 from the floor and 14-of-28 for the week. He added a total of six rebounds, four assists and eight steals.

Reaves posted a game-high 23 points in Athena’s win over Brockport to earn Division III honors. The sophomore guard connected on 10-of-12 shots (83 percent) including a bucket on his only 3-point attempt of the night. Reaves scored 11 points in the third quarter when Athena pulled away from a single-possession game. He added four rebounds, five assists, five steals and five deflections to help the Trojans to their fourth win in six games.
Leftenant averaged 14 points and seven rebounds in a trio of Eastridge victories to earn D4 POTW. The senior guard shot 65 percent from the floor over the three games as the Lancers improved to 13-1 on the season. He handed out six assists per contest while collecting 4.5 steals. Leftenant scored 18 in Eastridge’s win over Brightton that halted the Bruins five-game winning streak.
