Zoe Beardsley and Hope Russell scored a goal apiece to lift Fillmore into the state semi-finals. Deadlocked in a scoreless game, Beardsley connected 25 minutes into the second half on an unassisted goal. Russell scored nine minutes later with an assist from Sophia Templeton. Preslee Miller made six saves for the shutout – Fillmore’s 11th straight clean sheet. Russell’s goal was her team-leading 37th of the season. Beardsley tallied her seventh marker. Templeton has 19 assists. Fillmore (No. 3 NYSSWA Class D) will play Mount Academy (IX) next Saturday.

BYRON-BERGEN 1
Ninth-grader Ava Gray connected on an unassisted goal in the first half, and Byron-Bergen advanced to the New York State semi-finals. Brooke Jarkiewicz made 10 saves for the shutout. Gray’s goal was her sixth of the season. The Bees will face Carle Place (VIII) next Saturday.

Palmyra-Macedon senior Kylie Waeghe flew up the right side of the field 1:30 into the Class B State Quarterfinals against Lewiston-Porter and fired a shot off the crossbar. It looked like the beginning of an end-to-end affair at Caledonia-Mumford High School but things changed dramatically from there. READ MORE.
