The Buffalo Bisons beat Rochester 11-0 in the Bisons return to Sahlen Field for the remainder of the season.
The Bisons had been playing in New Jersey while the Toronto Blue Jays played in Buffalo with the U.S.-Canadian border being closed.
Buffalo got six runs off of Red Wings starter Luis Reyes, making his Triple-A debut. Logan Warmoth drove in half with a three-run homer in the fourth inning.
The Wings managed just two infield singles in the game. Bisons starter Jacob Waguespack left after 3-1/3 innings with an injury and four relievers closed it out for him with Dany Jimenez earning the victory.
Rochester falls to 4-11 in series opening games while the Bisons win, combined with a RailRiders loss leaves Buffalo and Scranton/WB tied for the lead in the Triple-A East Northeast Division.
The teams continue their six-game series in Buffalo Wednesday at 7:05 with a battle of southpaws scheduled; Sean Nolin (3-3, 3.80 ERA) going for the Wings and Nick Allgeyer (3-2, 4.86 ERA) on the bump for Buffalo.
