ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Corynna Rotoli, Sabrina Trapani and Patrick Uebelacker were named 2020-21 Academic All-American as announced by the United Soccer Coaches on Friday.
Rotoli and Trapani led the Rangers to their fifth straight Section V Class A Girls’ championship. Rotoli topped the Class A scoring list with 16 goals and eight assists. Trapani accounted for four goals and two assists from the defensive center midfield spot. The teammates shared Monroe County Division II Player of the Year honors.
Rotoli, who carried a 4.40 GPA will attend Seton Hill University on academic and athletic scholarships. She will study Pre-Med. Trapani finished her high school career with a 4.80 GPA. She will study Exercise Science/Physical Therapy at Ashland University also on academic and athletic scholarships.
Rotoli and Trapani join former Rangers Catherine Wall (2020), Olivia Wall (2019) and Samantha Hawn (2004) who also received Academic All-American. Catherine Wall currently plays lacrosse at Canisius College. Olivia Wall has continued her Academic and Athletic careers at Cornell University where she also plays lacrosse. Hawn went on to play at Syracuse University.
Uebelacker helped the Rangers to the Class A Boys’ semi-finals where they lost to eventual champion Pittsford Sutherland. The Monroe County Division II Co-Player of the Year helped anchor a Spencerport defense which finished with shutouts in 2020. Uebelacker added five goals and added three assists. He finished with a 4.34 GPA.
Uebelacker will attend Bloomsburg University where he will play on the school’s golf team. He is the first member of Spencerport’s boys’ program to receive the award since Chris Farnsworth in 2004. Farnsworth continued his career at Roberts Wesleyan College.
The three will be honored during a ceremony in January at Kansas City, MO.
