Isaiah Stewart (McQuaid Jesuit/La Lumiere) finished with 16 points and a game-high 13 rebounds to help the Detroit Pistons to a 113-101 victory over Sacramento in NBA action, Thursday night.
Stewart, who leads NBA rookies with 2.2 offensive rebounds per game, grabbed four offensive boards in the Pistons (16-36) second win in three games.
Stewart connected on 8-of-10 shots from the floor for his 14th game scoring in double digits.
The double-double was Stewart’s third of his career. He also handed out four assists to go with a block and a steal. He is among five rookies tied a the top of the list with 1.1 blocks per game.
Stewart helped La Lumiere to the 2019 National Championship. A member of the 2019 USA Junior National Team that played in the Nike Hoop Summit, Stewart averaged 18.5 points and 12.4 during his freshman season at McQuaid.
