Logan Kiefer rushed for 295 yards and five touchdowns including a 70-yard scamper on Red Jacket’s first play from scrimmage as the Indians defeated Holley, 50-0 in Section V football on Monday.
Kiefer also scored on runs of 31, 14, 55 and 33 yards. The senior running back carried the ball 12 times in the contest.
Red Jacket started the second half with Kyle Damore hitting Daltyn Hanline for a 54-yard touchdown.
Ethan Lenny blocked a punt that he returned for a touchdown. The senior tight end/defensive lineman paced the Red Jacket defense with seven tackles, two sacks and a fumble recovery. Parker Moore had six tackles and two sacks. Matt Allen collected four tackles, two for a loss.
The game marked the first for Red Jacket as part of eight-man football. Mary English took the opening kickoff for the five-time sectional champion Indians.
