Jalen Suggs led a long-range attack, and Gonzaga won its first game in nearly three weeks. Suggs finished with a team-high 27 points and connected on 7-of-10 from behind the 3-point arc including 5-of-6 in the first half when the Bulldogs jumped out to a 14-point lead at the break. As a team, Gonzaga finished 13-of-26 from distance. Corey Kispert was 3-of-7 behind the arc.
Joel Ayayi posted a double-double with 11 points and a game-high 18 rebounds. The junior guard matched Kispert with a game-high six assists. Gonzaga handed out 25 dimes on 36 made field goals.
Iowa’s Luka Garza finished with a game-high 30 points and 10 rebounds. Teammate Joe Wieskamp added 20 points.
Gonzaga scored on 43 of 82 possessions. Iowa converted on 42 of 84 trips down the floor.
Gonzaga downed then No. 11 West Virginia, 87-82 on December 2nd. The Bulldogs had their next five games cancelled or postponed because of COVID-19 protocols.

Macio Teague led four in double figures as Baylor needed less than five minutes to grab a double-digit lead to take its Big 12 opener. Teague scored 12 points to lead a 15-4 run to open the game. The senior guard hit three 3-pointers in the opening surge. He finished 8-of-14 from the floor for the game including 5-of-9 from distance. Teague added 10 rebounds.
The Bears shot 37 of 64 (57.8 percent) as a team and 15 of 32 (46.9 percent) from long range. Jared Butler posted a double-double with 14 points and a game-high 13 assists. Butler committed just one turnover in 30 minutes of action. Davion Mitchell added 20 points.
Kansas State’s Antonio Gordon scored 23 minutes off the bench.

Justin Robinson-Earl scored 25 points to go with seven rebounds and six assists to lead Villanova to a win in Philadelphia Big 5 action. Robinson-Earl connected on 8-of-14 shots from the floor including 2-of-5 from behind the 3-point arc. Caleb Daniels added 19 points for the Wildcats. Justin Moore had 18 points and seven assists.
Villanova finished with 21 assists on 32 made baskets.
Taylor Funk and Jordan Hall scored 17 points apiece to lead Saint Joseph’s.

Four players scored in double figures, and Wisconsin led wire-to-wire for its third straight win. Micah Potter paced Wisconsin with 20 points while teammate Aleem Ford added. The Badgers shots 31-of-57 (54.4 percent) including 16-of-25 (64.0 percent) from long range.
UW collected 22 assists and converted 18 Louisville turnovers into 19 points.
Louisville was playing its first game since December 1st because of COVID-19 protocols. The Cardinals were without leading scorer Carlik Jones.

Brandon Mahan led three in double figures for UCF which erased a double-digit first half deficit and closed the game on a 17-9 run. Mahan connected on 10-of-13 shots from the floor and finished with a game-high 32 points. Isaiah Adams added 22 points, and Darin Green, Jr. had 20 for the Knights. UCF shot 23 of 26 from the free throw line.
M.J. Walker led Florida State with 22 points.

Eugene Brown III sparked a 14-7 Ohio State run to close the game as the Buckeyes erased a late deficit to rebound from their only loss of the season. Brown, who logged just seven minutes off the bench, nailed back-to-back 3-pointers to snap a 63-all tie. The freshman forward finished 3-of-3 from distance for the game.
Duane Washington, Jr. scored 14 points to pace an OSU offense which scored on 18 of 27 second-half possessions and 35 of 58 for the game.
Johnny Juzang scored 13 points including a trifecta with 12:40 remaining in the game to give UCLA a 54-48 lead. The Bruins led 63-61 with 6:22 to go.

Armando Bacot and Kerwin Walton combined to score 21 second-half points as North Carolina erased a halftime deficit to win its second straight game. Bacot contributed 11 of team-high 14 points after the break. The sophomore forward connected on 4-of-5 shots from the floor and 3-of-4 from the free throw line in the second 20 minutes. Coming off the bench, Walton scored 10 of his 13 points in the second stanza.
UNC scored on 36 of 67 (53.7 percent) possessions. Kentucky managed points on 31 of 65 trips down the floor.
Davion Mintz scored 11 of his game-high 17 points in the first half to help Kentucky to a 38-34 lead at the break. Kentucky is off to its worst start since opening 1-8 in 1926-27.
