Joel Ayayi keyed a pivotal 11-4 run late in the second half, and Gonzaga held on for a win in the Jimmy V Classic. Ayayi scored four points and handed out an assist to help Gonzaga pull away from West Virginia.
Tied at 67 with 6:06 remaining, Drew Timme scored two of his 17 points to give the Bulldogs a lead they did not surrender. Teammate Corey Kispert followed with a dunk. Ayayi converted a rebound and tip in, then scored on a layup before feeding Kispert for a 3-pointer and a 78-71 Gonzaga lead with 4:17 on the clock. Ayayi posted a game-high 21 points.
Andrew Nembhard came off the bench when starting guard Jalen Suggs went to the sidelines with an injury and handed out five of his game-high six assists in the second half. The junior guard connected on 5-of-7 field goal attempts in the second stanza to score 12 of his 19 points.
After connecting on just 13 of 35 (37.1 percent) shots through the first 20 minutes, Gonzaga (3-0) hit 21 of 34 attempts after the break highlighted by a 20 of 29 effort inside the 3-point arc. The Bulldogs outscored West Virginia (3-1) in the paint, 60-30. Kispert had 19 points for Gonzaga.

Adam Flagler came off the bench and scored 11 of his team-high 18 points in the second half when Baylor pulled away in the Jimmy V Classic. The sophomore guard connected on 6-of-11 shots for the night. Teammate Davion Mitchell scored 15 points on 5-of-8 shooting including 4-of-5 from behind the 3-point arc while handing out seven assists. The two teams were tied at 43 with 13:16 remaining in the game. Ayo Dosunmu led Illinois with 18 points.

Matt Coleman III netted a game-high 22 points and hit the game winner with 0.1 seconds to lift Texas in the championship of the Maui Invitational. Coleman hit a step-back jumper from the free throw line as the Longhorns held off a second-half North Carolina rally.
Trailing by 12 at half, the Tar Heels tied the game at 63 when Caleb Love converted free throw with 3:54 remaining. Garrison Brooks gave UNC a brief lead two possessions with a jumper for a 65-63 edge. It was the Tar Heels first lead since 15-13.
Coleman connected on 9-of-16 shots from the floor including 3-of-6 from behind the 3-point arc.
Armando Bacot (12 rebounds) and Leaky Black (10 rebounds) paced a North Carolina (3-1) effort on the glass which saw the Tar Heels grab 50 boards to 32 for Texas. UNC, though, shot 1-of-9 from long range and 18 of 32 from the free throw line. Brooks scored 18 for UNC.
Texas (4-0) was 9-of-22 from long range and 10 of 14 from the charity stripe.

Xavier Pinson led five in double figures as Missouri took a double-digit lead into halftime before holding off a second-half Oregon rally. Pinson converted 9-of-10 free throws for the game. Teammates Mark Smith and Javon Pickett added 15 and 13 points respectively. Eugene Omoruyi led Oregon with 31 points on 10-of-19 shooting.

M.J. Walker led a balanced scoring attack that saw all 12 players from Florida State contribute in the scoring column. Walker connected twice behind the 3-point arc in the first half as the Seminoles took a 36-21 lead into the break. Walker finished with 17 points. Balsa Koprivica added 13 points on 4-of-8 shooting from the floor and 5-of-6 from the free throw line. Scottie Barnes, Sardaar Calhoun and Raiquan Gray added eight points apiece in the win.

Justin Ahrens and Duane Washington, Jr. combined for six second-half 3-pointers as Ohio State broke open a single-digit game in the second-half. Leading by nine early in the second stanza, the Buckeyes connected on a 7-of-14 from long range with Washington hitting three of five and Ahrens three of four.
The Buckeyes held Morehead State without a field goal over the last 7:39 of the game to close on a 19-2 run.
E.J. Liddell led five Buckeyes in double figures with 16. Justice Sueing, CJ Walker and Washington scored 11 apiece. Kyle Young added 10 points.
