BUFFALO, NY – Fresh off his best week in a UB uniform, sophomore Jeenathan Williams (UPrep) has been named the MAC East Co-Player of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday.
Williams averaged 22.0 points in Buffalo’s two wins this past week. Williams, who has now scored in double figures in nine straight games, scored a career-high 26 points in UB’s win over Ohio on Tuesday. He scored 24 of those points in the second half, including a stretch where he scored 13 straight Buffalo points. Williams also had seven boards against the Bobcats. On Saturday, Williams added a game-high 18 points in the win at Central Michigan, while adding five rebounds. Williams is now third on the team in scoring at 12.1 points per game.
The Rochester, NY native joins senior Davonta Jordan and junior Jayvon Graves as Buffalo’s MAC Players of the Week this season.
UB returns to action on Tuesday night when it hosts Western Michigan in the first of two games inside Alumni Arena this week. Tip off is at 7pm.
